Xmas: Rector Congratulates Staff, Preaches Peace, Unity

  The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin,Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed has felicitated  with christian staff in the Polytechnic on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration, urging them to draw from the spiritual importance of the celebration by sharing love and fostering harmony in institution and  the state at large . Abdul, who described Christmas as a moment of reflection on the blessings that the birth of Jesus Christ symbolizes for humanity, also urged the christian community in the Polytechnic to embrace the spirit of compassion and kindness that the season reflects. He called on the staff to appreciate the strength and prospects of unity in driving the needed progress for the institution and the state, saying the season should be used to renew bonds, lend helping hands and spread love without boundaries. Kwara Poly Rector bags NIMechE Fellow Award

The Rector, Kwara State  Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed was yesterday honoured with the prestigious award of Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE). His investiture as a Fellows took place at  Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos during the NIMechE Fellowship Conferment Ceremony.  Abdul who was decorated along with other worthy engineers was recognized by the institution for his landmark contributions to the development of Engineering Education and Practice in Nigeria. Meanwhile, the Polytechnic community has congratulated the Rector who was conferred with the prestigious award of Fellow of NIMechE describing it as well deserved. They described the Rector as a qualified and certified engineer who has made his marks in the engineering profession. In furtherance of the efforts to sustain the reduction in maternal and child mortality rates, The Kwara State Government through the Kwara State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (KWSPHCDA) has commenced the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Programme in all the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
