Re: Kwarapoly: Mass Communication Students in Dismay over Non-Accreditation, exempted from NYSC mobilisation

The attention of the Kwara State Polytechnic authority has been drawn to a malicious story tagged *"Kwarapoly: Mass Communication Students in Dismay over Non-Accreditation, exempted from NYSC mobilisation"* in which one writer (Comrade Yūusuf Baraje) alleged non- accreditation of HND Mass Communication programme by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

The Polytechnic authority is hereby calling on members of the public to disregard the misleading story aimed at dragging the  good name of the 50 year old institution to the mud.

It is pertinent to state clearly that, all the programmes running at the institution are fully accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

For clarity on the mobilization of the captioned department, all arrangements on the part of the institution have since been concluded while awaiting the approval of the NYSC serbam.

It's to be noted that, the Directorate of the Student's Services in charge of the NYSC mobilization exercise in the Polytechnic had done the necessary screening clearance, imputed the regularized students and results and just awaiting NYSC code for uploading.

The Institution hereby assures all qualified prospective corp members from the affected department, that they will be mobilized by the NYSC at the next batch.

Members of the Public, Parents and Guardians are hereby urged to always check with the appropriate unit of the Polytechnic on any issues of concern to avoid being traumatized by negative reportage.
