Mass Communication Fc Secures Second Rector's Cup with a Dominant 2-0 Victory

Mass Communication Fc emerged as the champions of the Rector's Cup after a spectacular performance in the final match against Marketing FC. The award-winning department secured a convincing victory with a scoreline of 2-0.
The match, held at the Polytechnic's stadium complex, witnessed an intense battle between the two teams. Mass Communication Fc displayed their dominance right from the start, creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities. Their efforts were rewarded when HND 1 student, Aremu Babatunde (puma), found the back of the net twice in quick succession. The goals came at the 35th and 37th minutes of the game, leaving the opponents stunned and struggling to recover.



The triumph of Mass Communication Fc in the Rector's Cup is particularly noteworthy considering their defeat in the previous year's tournament by the Department of Public Administration. The department showcased their resilience and determination, bouncing back from the setback to claim the coveted title once again.

The final match drew a significant crowd, with students, Institute members, and staff eagerly supporting their respective teams. The Director of Students Services, representing the Project Rector, Dr. Saheed Bolakale Ajadi, was present to witness the thrilling encounter. Several other members of the Polytechnic's staff also graced the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Rector's Cup, an annual sporting event at the Polytechnic, serves as a platform to foster healthy competition and camaraderie among different departments. It encourages students to participate actively in sports and showcases their skills and talents outside the academic realm.
