Breaking : President Tinubu Suspends Emefiele

The President of the federal Republic Of Nigeria  Bola Tinubu has suspended Godwin Emefiele as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor. 

This was contained in a statement signed by the director of information office of the Secretary to the federal government Willie Bassey.



The statement reads in part "President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended the Central Bank Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, CFR, from office with immediate effect.

“This is sequel to the ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy.

“Mr Emefiele has been directed to immediately hand over the affairs of his office to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate), who will act as the Central Bank Governor pending the conclusion of the investigation and the reforms.”

Kwara Poly Rector bags NIMechE Fellow Award

The Rector, Kwara State  Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed was yesterday honoured with the prestigious award of Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE). His investiture as a Fellows took place at  Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos during the NIMechE Fellowship Conferment Ceremony.  Abdul who was decorated along with other worthy engineers was recognized by the institution for his landmark contributions to the development of Engineering Education and Practice in Nigeria.
